Our Camp Mission:
Summer camp can be a life-changing experience for children and teens with bleeding disorders. It’s more than just a week of fun — it’s a place where confidence grows, independence is strengthened, and lifelong friendships are formed with peers who truly understand their journey.
We are committed to making camp accessible to every family. Through travel grants for gas assistance or other support needs, we help to reduce any financial barriers so more children can experience the joy and impact of camp. All SOUTH CAROLINA SUMMER CAMPS are free to campers. In partnership with Camp Burnt Gin, the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Centers of South Carolina at Prisma Health, and Camp Courage at the BILO Charities Children’s Cancer Center in Greenville, we provide meaningful programming and hands-on support that helps campers feel safe, supported, and empowered.
Our goal is to create welcoming, inclusive summer experiences that build community, connection, and confidence — memories that last long after camp ends. We invite you to learn more, ask questions, and enroll your child in one of South Carolina’s bleeding disorders summer camps. Your child belongs here.
We are deeply grateful for our 17-year partnership with the Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina and for the many meaningful memories created through the Carolina Crew Teen Retreats. This long-standing collaboration has had a lasting impact on countless teens, and we truly appreciate the care, dedication, and shared commitment that made those years so special.
As times have changed — including shifts in funding, venue availability, and especially school schedules — it has become more challenging to find dates that work well for everyone. With this in mind, we are excited to move into a new chapter by combining our Teen Retreat with our newest statewide summer camp, Camp CoAg, creating one inclusive and engaging experience for both teens and children diagnosed with all bleeding disorders.
This new model allows us to continue fostering connection, confidence, and community while creating fresh opportunities to make meaningful memories in a new setting. Teens will still enjoy the experiences they value most and will participate on a separate track from younger campers, while also having the opportunity to serve as mentors and Leaders in Training (LIT) — building leadership and camp counselors skills, forming bonds younger campers can look up to.
Additional opportunities designed specifically for teens can be found on our Teen Support Page, and we encourage families to explore all the ways teens can stay connected, supported, and engaged.

At BDASC, we proudly support summer camps for children and teens living with bleeding disorders, creating opportunities for connection, confidence, and fun. One of our most anticipated traditions is the Famous Ice Cream Social! Generously sponsored by Marble Slab of Columbia and Greenville, this sweet event is a favorite each year, and we can’t wait to celebrate and enjoy time together again this summer.
During 2025, BDASC was proud to bring our Famous Ice Cream Social to Camp Burnt Gin, the Prisma Health Upstate HTC Family Camp Day, and Children’s Camp at Camp Courage. These moments of connection, laughter, and togetherness are what make our community so special — and we truly loved seeing everyone and celebrating alongside you.
We would like to acknowledge our 2026 CAMP SPONSORS for helping us provide camp and travel needs assistance for those kids and teens attending bleeding disorders camp this summer.
