Learning to self-infuse is a vital step toward independence for individuals living with hemophilia or other bleeding disorders that require infusion therapy. Gaining the skills to mix medications, understand proper dosing, and administer treatment builds both confidence and self-reliance.
At BDASC, we are committed to supporting our members on this journey. Throughout the year, we proudly partner with Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) staff and nurses to offer hands-on self-infusion education tailored to individuals and families.
Children often get their first experience with self-infusion at summer camp, where they’re supported by peers and mentored by experienced staff.
BDASC also offers mentoring opportunities at all of our camps, ensuring that both children and their families receive support and guidance. We believe in empowering the whole family with the knowledge and confidence to manage treatment.
Stay tuned for upcoming opportunities to participate in our self-infusion education programs—we look forward to helping you and your loved ones take this important step toward independence.
