The 2019 Red Tie Campaign
Hemophilia of South Carolina Launches the 2019 Red Tie Campaign

The Red Tie Campaign aims to advance the fight against inheritable bleeding disorders by raising funds for research, education, and advocacy initiatives.

March 1, 2019 – More than three million Americans have a bleeding disorder, such as hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, or rare factor deficiencies. These disorders prevent an individual’s blood from clotting normally; can result in extended bleeding after injury, surgery or trauma; and can be fatal if not treated effectively.

It’s time to put on your red ties again and join us for the 2019 Red Tie Campaign! This March, during Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month, Hemophilia of South Carolina, with NHF and chapters across the country, will raise funds and awareness to support the bleeding disorders community.

We hope you will join us during the campaign by showing your red tie pride on social media and helping us raise $1,000to support our programs and services, advocacy initiatives and Advocacy Coalition work.  To participate in the 2019 Red Tie Campaign, you can:

Give: Our collective goal is to raise $30,000 across all chapters and NHF during the Red Tie Campaign. If you donate to Hemophilia of South Carolina, NHF will match that donation up to $750! Give today and double your donation to our bleeding disorders community. Donate directly to HSC here:

Share: Be a part of the movement! Put on your red tie or scarf and share why Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month and Hemophilia of South Carolina are important to you. Follow #RedTieCampaign on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and share your story to raise awareness within your personal network. Share your pictures with us so we can post to our Facebook Page, Twitter, and on our Instagram page.

Advocate: Join HSC at our many Proclamation readings throughout the state. We’ll also be heading to Washington DC for NHF’s Washington Days event on March 27-29, 2019. Follow us on social media as we advocate for access to healthcare.
